Suspect in killing of 2 Palm Springs police officers expected to be charged Tuesday; death penalty weighed

A Palm Springs man arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting two police officers and wounding a third is expected to be formally charged on Tuesday.

Police say John Felix opened fire on the officers when they responded to a domestic violence call Saturday. He was arrested after a lengthy standoff.
