The intention was expressed Monday at a meeting between the Angolan delegation in Macau and the Chinese Government delegation, under the 5th Ministerial Forum China/Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP), opened Tuesday.
The State Secretary for Cooperation of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Angela Bragança, said that the Angolans must be bold and competitive focusing on the major challenges of the economy.
The State Secretary was speaking at the end of the meeting, whose interlocutors were the Angolan minister of Economy, Abrahão Gourgel, and Chinese deputy minister of Trade, Gao Yan.
The official highlighted the role played by the business organisations, such as the Industrial Association of Angola, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Export Promotion Agency (Apiex) and the Technical Unit for Private Investment (UTIP).
According to her, these organisations will help in mobilisation, awareness and organisation of Angolans to establish successful partnerships with the Chinese.
Ângela Bragança said that under the existing and strengthening of relations, the Angolan and Chinese entrepreneurs will hold a summit in Luanda on November 7-9 this year in which the African country intends to sign with Asian nation a mutual promotion and protection agreement on investment.
The 5th Ministerial Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and CPLP will approve the action plan for 2017-2019 and a memorandum of understanding for promotion of productive capacity of the forum member countries.
The fifth Forum feature ministerial representatives of Angola, Cabo Verde, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Brazil and Portugal and East Timor.
